about the geologic nature monument of the local value,
the Head of the Knight Rock

1. General Provisions.

1.1 The geologic nature monument of the local value, the Head of the Knight Rock, is situated on the left bank of the Dnister River, in 1 km distance from Ustia Village. It is an example of erosion of the upper Silurian deposites.
It became a reserve according to the resolution of the Oblast' Executive Committee, No.278 of 04.09.1982.
1.2 The total area of the geologic nature monument of the local value, the Head of the Knight Rock is 1.0 ha. The user is the Ustia Village Council, Kamyanets'-Podil's'kyi Rayon.
1.3 The geologic nature monument of the local value, the Head of the Knight Rock, belongs to the nature reserved fund of Ukraine, which is protected as a national property, and is a part of the system of the nature territories and objects, which are under special protection.
1.4 Liquidation, reorganization of the geologic nature monument of the local value, the Head of the Knight Rock, and change of it's borders is carried out according to the legislation currently in force.
1.5 The postal address of the land user:
Khmel'nyts'ka Oblast', Kamyanets'-Podil's'kyi Rayon, Ustia Village, Village Council.

2. The purpose of foundation and aims of the geologic nature monument of the local value, the Head of the Knight Rock.

2.1 The geologic nature monument of the local value, the Head of the Knight Rock, belongs to the nature reserved fund of Ukraine.
2.2 The main aim of the geologic nature monument of the local value, the Head of the Knight Rock, is preservation of the example of the erosion of the upper Silurian deposites. Article 27 of the Law of Ukraine abnout NRF (nature reserved fund) of Ukraine.
2.3 The geologic nature monument of the local value, the Head of the Knight Rock, can be used with aesthetic, educational, scientific, nature preserving, recreational and other purposes.

3. The regulations of the territory and protection of the geologic nature monument of the local value, the Head of the Knight Rock.

3.1 Any activities, which conflict with the aims and tasks, provided by the statute of the Nature Monument are limited or forbidden on the territory of the Nature Monument.
3.2 The economic, scientific and other kinds of activities, which do not conflict with the aims and tasks of the Nature Monument, are carried out according to the main requirements about the environmental protection.
3.3 Owners or user of the allotments of the nature objects, declared as a reserve, take responsibilities of providing the order of its protection and preservation. Article 28 of the Law of Ukraine "About the nature reserved fund of Ukraine".
3.4 Carrying out of such kinds economic activities, which can damage the Nature Monument and break ecological balance.
3.5 Building of the buildings, which may cause change of the character of the region or landscape and bear losses to the Nature Monument.
3.6 The exploration work, mining operations, transgression of the soil and flora.
3.7 Any littering or pollution of the territory of the Nature Monument.
3.8 To give the land for building.
3.9 Other kinds of works that can break the natural connections and running of the natural processes, loss of the scietific, economic and aesthetic value of the Nature Monument.
3.10 Abuse of the legislation of Ukraine "About the nature reserved fund of Ukraine" and the law "About the enviromnental protection" causes the disciplinary, administrative, civil or criminal amenability.
3.11 The dimension of the damage, caused to the Nature Monument, is defined according to the approved tariffs.
3.12 All kinds of the usage of nature, which are carried out on the territory of the Nature Monument are realized according to the permission of the State Administration of the Environmental Safety in Khmel'nyts'ka Oblast' within the bounds, approved in fixed order.
The Statue is worked out on the basis of the Law of Ukraine "About the nature reserved fund of Ukraine".
