Building of Podil's'ka Theological 
  Seminary, where the Narodnik's Organization "Podil's'ka 
  Druzhyna" (The Podilian Squad) was formed. M.V.Semashkevych, N.I.Yavors'kyi 
  worked there, Y.I.Sitsyns'kyi, N.D.Leontovych, V.Y.Svidzyns'kyi, N.Y.Vrublevs'kyi

It is situated in the northern part of the city. 
  It was built in 1865 for Podil's'ka Orthodox Theological Seminary. It is stone, 
  three-storied, three-chambered, in Russian Classicism style.
  At the beginning of 1881, a large Narodnik's organization "Podil's'ka Druzhyna" 
  (Podilian Squad) of narodovol'cheska orientation was formed there from students. 
  V.I.Dziubyns'kyi, G.F.L'vovych, V.T.Starynkevych, M.S.Starodvors'kyi headed 
  this organization. It consisted of 9 secret groups. The members of the "druzhyna" 
  arranged gatherings where revolutionary literature was read and the position 
  of peasants was condemned. They created illegal library (350 books). There were 
  works of K.Marx, F.Engels, N.G.Chernyshevs'kyi, T.G.Shevchenko, and others in 
  it. They also led the antiautocratic propaganda in the villages and prepared 
  the journal "Listok Podol'skoy Druzhyny" (The List of the Podillian 
  Squad) for publication. In March 1882, the organization was done to the world, 
  20 of its members were taken into the city prison, the leaders of the organization 
  were sent to into exile to Siberia, and 105 of students were excluded from the 
  seminary.
  From 1871 to 1884, M.V.Semashkevych, a famous scolar, historian, ethnographer 
  of Podillia, theolog, and pedagogue worked as a teacher and rector of the seminary. 
  He has published the main works: "Istoriko-Geographicheskiy Ocherk Podollii" 
  (Historical and Geographical Essay of Podillia), editions �-�� (1875,1876), 
  "Sbornik svedeniy o Podol'skoy Gubernii" (Collection of the Materials 
  about the Podillian Government). 
  In the 80's of the XIX - beginning of the XX century, N.I.Yavors'kyi worked 
  as a teacher at the seminary. He was also a researcher of Podillia, editor of 
  "Podil's'ki Yeparkhial'ni Vidomosti" (Podillian Eparchian Bulletin) 
  (1883-1890) and of five volumes of the Works of the Podillian Historical and 
  Statistics committee, and one of the founders of the Drevnekhranylysche in the 
  city (the Historical museum).
  In the middle 70's of the XIX century, Y.I.Sitsyns'kyi (1859-1927) - famous 
  researcher of the history of Podillia - studied at the seminary. He is one of 
  the founers of the Drevnekhranylysche, the author of the book Kamyanets-Podil's'kyi 
  (1895) and other 180 works. In 1892-1899, N.D.Leontovych (13.12.1877-22.01.1921) 
  studied there. He was a famous Ukrainian composer, conductor, music and public 
  figure, and pedagogue. He began to collect and process folk songs that were 
  included in his First song collection of villages of Podillia, and Second song 
  collection of villages of Podillia during the years of his studying at the seminary. 
  He also run the choir of the students. In 1900-1904, V.Y.Svidzyns'kyi (8.10.1885-18.10.1941), 
  a Ukrainian writer and translator, studied there. He finished his studies at 
  the seninary and graduated from the Kyiv Commercial Institute. In the 20's he 
  worked in the editorial staff of the Kamyanets'-Podil's'kyi's newspaper "Chervonyi 
  Kordon" (Red Border). He also published the collections of the poetry "Lirychni 
  Poeziyi "(Lyrical Poetry) (1922), "Veresen"(September) (1927) 
  and Ukrainian translations of the works of Gesiod, Ovidiy, Aristofan, Lope de 
  Vega and others. N.Y.Vrublevs'kyi (10.02.1897-25.12.1918) who studied at the 
  seminary in 1913-1915, repeated Svidzyns'kyi's way of getting education. He 
  was a revolutionary, famous statesman and party figure of Soviet Ukraine of 
  the beginning of the Great October Socialistic Revolution and Civil War.
  In 1921, the main building of the Agriculture Institute was located in this 
  building. The institute was established in 1919 as the Agriculture department 
  at fomer Kamyanets'-Podil's'kyi University. In 1921, the department was changed 
  into independent institute of higher education.
  Today, the institute trains high qualified personnel of 6 specialities: Agronomy, 
  Zootechny, Veterinary Medicine, Mechanization of Agriculture, Economics and 
  Management of the branches of the Agricultural complex, Business Accounting, 
  Control and Analysis of economical activities in the agriculture. More than 
  5 thousand of students study at full and part-time departments ������� � ������� 
  ����������.
  There are 35 chairs, where there are 342 teachers (7 professors, DS, 157 assistant 
  professors, candidates of sciences).
  The institute traines own research and educational personnel by means of the 
  post-graduate study. There is a special board for the defence of the candidates' 
  dissertations at the institute.
  The preparation department and the faculty of the raising the level of the specialists' 
  skills there is at the institute.
  There are more than 500 thousand books in the funds of the institute's library.
  During its existing, the institute has trained thousands of specialists with 
  high level of proficiency.
  This is the regional institute, that is why the majority of its graduates work 
  on the fields and farms of Khmel'nyts'ka, Vinnyts'ka, Ternopil's'ka, Chernivets'ka, 
  Ivano-Frankivs'ka Oblast's. A lot of people work in other oblast's of Ukraine, 
  and also in Moldova, Belorus, Kazahstan.
  Among the graduates of the institute there is a honoured worker of science, 
  the Hero of Socialistic Work, academician of the Academy of Science of USSR, 
  A.V.Kvasnyts'kyi, former deputy Minister of Agriculture of USSR, M.N.Shevchenko, 
  Doctor of Agriculture Sciences, professors P.P.Berezhna, F.G.Gavryliuk, K.A.Brovkina, 
  L.V.Lazarevych, V.A.Olenevych, V.I.Pal'hevs'kyi, M.I.Shkol'nyk and others. Some 
  of the graduates of the institute are the Heroes of Socialistic Work: M.P.Vakariuk, 
  Z.D.Gluhaniuk, R.A.Kravchuk, M.N.Mazur, A.I.Novyts'kyi, I.B.Probytyi, M.S.Sereda, 
  V.I.Stets'ko. The Now, the institute became the Academy. It is the centre of 
  the agricultural science on Podillia. There is a scientific-research sector, 
  problem laboratory of selection of buckwheat in the Academy. The scientific-research 
  work of the teachers and students has been conducted at all chairs of the Academy.
