These Roman Catholic nuns came to Kamyanets at the beginning of the XIX entury, due to efforts of that time Polish governor, Grohol's'kyi. The sister of his wife countess Tsetsiliya Holonevs'ka was their foundater and leader. At first, from 1819 vizytky lived in the city in the private house and were busy with teaching children, after 1831 that was forbidden. From 1842, they have been living in Polish Fil'varky (Farms) in the house, that was built for them, but has not been finished yet. The monastery was closed in 1866. At that time there were six nuns and they left for L'viv. The buildings intended for the monastery, as a private property of the heirs of Grohol's'kyi, were bought by the Orthodox religious department for the location of the women religious school there. The monastery building was built in 1830-1840. In 1882-1884, new buildings were built on (architects Pernych, Sozonov).
