Originally, it was one-storied, on high socle, with hipped roof. At the end of the XVII century, it was damaged. At the beginning of the XVIII century, it was restored. In the second part of the XIX century, it was built on in the eastern part till two stories. During the Great World War it was damaged. In process of the post war repairs and reconstruction replanned essentially; three one-storied annexes were built on to the northern front, all south-western part of the estate is built up and is connected with the main building. An internal space of the last in borders but initial building was divided into 5 lodgements (two rooms of them with area of 150 and 120 sq.m)
It is two-storied, of complicated configuration in plan. The planning scheme is characterized by dissymetric. The coverings are flat. The elevations are plastered. The window platbands, level belt and the profiled principal cornice is pulled in stucco. The roof is hipped, slate.
The monument is one of a few medieval houses of palace type remained in Ukraine.

Frantsyskans'ka St.

It is situated in the central part of the Old town, opposite the elevation of Roman-Catholic Petropavlivs'kyi Cathedral. It was built as a palace in 1627 by bishop P. Piasets'kyi. Till the beginning of the XIX century it had been one-storied, stone, in style of classical baroque. Later it was rebuilt into a two-storied L- type building, with dimensions of 19 � 21 m. As a result the outward appearance was changed, its original architectural style was lost.
In the �VII - �VIII centuries, the Podillian bishops lived in the house, which periodically gave some rooms to an elementary Polish school. In 1793, the house was confiscated by the governor. From 1797 t� 1831, the district five-classed college, subordinated to Vilens'kyi university, was located there. Because of the Polish rebellion in 1830-1831 it was closed. In the 30's - 60's of the XIX century, the house belonged to ��myanets' men's gymnasia (classes were used, its directors lived there). From 1869 t� 1918, the city two-classed college was in the house.
During the World War of 1812 55 pupils of the college volunteered in the stuff of the 3-rd �rmy under command of ��rmasov. From 1812 t� 1816, Mavrytsiy Goslavs'kyi, Polish poet and revolutionist, studied there (1802 - 1834). He wrote the poems "Podoliya", "Duma � Nechaye"("Duma About Nechay"), "Na smert' Pestelia, Muravyova i drugih muchenikov z� rossiyskuyu svobodu"("To Death of Pestel', Muravyov and Other Martyrs for Russian Freedom") (1826). He was a member of November rebellion of 1830 in Warsaw. In 1896 - 1898, in the city college Mykola Gryhorovych Kozyts'kyi studied there (1880 - 1920), he was an agent of Lenin's "Iskra"("Spark") (1903), one of the leaders of ��myanets'-Podil's'ka organization RSDRP (1905-1906), member of the Great October socialistic revolution in Petrograd (1917), the chairman of Podillian province executive committee (1920). In 1896 - 1897, Sergiy Mykolayovych Serheyev-Tsens'kyi (1875-1958), a famous Russian writer and academician, worked as a teacher of Russian language and literature at the college. He was sent there after graduation from Gluhiv Teachers' Training Institute, differed by democracy in pedagogical work. In ��myanets'-Podil's'kyi he wrote his first poems "Polubog"("Demigod"), "Kovarnyi korabl'"("Guileful Ship").
In the 30's, the building was given to the Pioneer House. In the 50's - middle of the 80's, a metall-forming plant was located in the building; nowadays the rayon department of public education is located there. In 1991, the building was returned to ��myanets'-Podil's'ka Roman-Catholic diyetsesiya. The restoration works were carried out there.
