The House
of the Russian City Council, the XVI entury, rebuilt at the beginning of the
XIX entury. Preservation Number #737 | Foto
9 Pyatnyts'ka St.
In the
XIX - first half of the XX century, it suffered from great architectural and
planning changes. It is stone, square in plan, consists of three parts, the
house is an example of national dwelling. A hallway (in the form of a corridor)
divides the building into two unequal rectangular parts: western, front, two-chambered
and eastern and secondary three-chambered. All the rooms are square in plan.
Near the northern wall of the corridor there are wooden stairs, leading to the
second floor. The coverings are joist. The fronts are finished with pincers,
worked up by light dummy joint on the corners, cut through with rectangular
windows. In 1978-1980, it was restored in the period of the last quarter of
the XVII century. It was adopted to an administrative building of the historical-architectural
reserve of the city.
The monument is an interesting example of civil architecture of the XVII century.
