Dwelling
House (ruins under the ground), the XVII-XVIII centuries. Preservation Number
#16-
6 Pyatnyts'ka St.
The monument
is located in the middle of the western part of Pyatnytska Street. It is impossible
to mark it out in the descriptions of the VIII century or on the engravings
of K.Tomashevych, that is why practically the only accessible witness of early
existence of the monument for today are topographic maps of the town.
So, on plans of 1773, 1779, 1800 and 1803 the building up of the section of
the monument is depicted in the form of a long building, which faces the Pyatnytska
Street with its eastern butt-end, and its western butt-end sides with a fence
of the monasetry of the Dominicans. In the topographical plan of 1848 there
are two separate buildings, one is from the side of the street, and the other
one is at the monastery wall, the breach between them is about 1/3 of the depth
of the part of the house. In the plans of 1861 and 1873 the building up was
joined in one solid belt, but it was more complicated because of the configuration
of its northern boundary. In the plan of 1884, the configuration of the spot
of the building up at the wall of the Dominican was somehow simplified. The
plan of 1930 depicts the building up of the section in the form of two right-angled
buildings. One of them faces the Pyatnytska Street with its butt-end, the other
one sides with Dominican wall with its longer side. In the text to the plan
of 1848 the building was denoted as the building of the heirs of Josofovych.
Besides, the topographical plans give detailed illustration of the monument
of the beginning of the century. There is also a picture of Toporkov there
and pre-war inventory case.
The building was ruined during the post-war period. The underground part has
remained till present, which has also been damaged a lot.
